Clerk stole exotic dancer license fees, Inspector General finds
WEST PALM BEACH —
A Palm Beach County clerk took advantage of lax accounting — and the traditional way exotic dancers collect their earnings — to embezzle more than $25,000, the county’s Inspector General said Tuesday.
Public Safety Department worker Anita Pedemey cooked books to skim from the $75 fees dancers pay for required photo identification cards, usually with cash, the inspector general’s report said.
The investigation found that Pedemey took an additional $4,605 from the county’s victim services fund, much of that money coming from criminals who get the option to donate in lieu of community service. At least $1,300 of that was cash, the report said. Read More

Exotic dancer gets 4 to 6 years for King’s Inn attack (I’ve been to that club, around the time of the attack, whoa)
FALL RIVER — A former stripper was sentenced to 4 to 6 years in state prison for a vicious attack in 2007 on another exotic dancer at the King’s Inn, Dartmouth, the Bristol County District Attorney’s office reported.
Katherine Mercedes Pimental, now 43, of Providence, R.I., struck another dancer on the head with an empty beer bottle, causing the bottle to break, after forcing her way into a bathroom stall at the State Road club on July 27, 2007, according to Gregg Miliote, a spokesman for District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III.
Pimental then slashed the victim — a 22-year-old Fall River woman — with the shattered beer bottle as the victim tried to protect herself, Miliote said. The defendant also tried to stab the victim in the neck with the jagged edge of the bottle, which she avoided by raising her arm and taking the thrust in her left triceps.
A bouncer heard the victim’s screams, ran into the bathroom and stopped Pimental, he said. The victim suffered multiple lacerations and permanent scarring to her face. Read More

Exotic dancer wanted on baby-selling charges in Pennsylvania
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — A Pennsylvania exotic dancer is wanted on charges she agreed to sell her newborn daughter for $1,700 and theft for keeping the money without delivering the child.
Lycoming County Detective William Weber tells Pennlive.com that the baby is safe with her father.
Weber says 22-year-old Keanaendigo James signed a notarized agreement in April to sell her unborn daughter, but backed out of the deal and kept the money when the girl was born in July.
